The apartment is located in the leafy heart of Cölln, a district on the right bank of the Elbe. Just around the corner, you'll find a supermarket with a bakery and butcher (offering breakfast and lunch options), a Chinese takeaway, a fruit and vegetable market, an organic market, a café, and more. A short walk along the Elbe is the beach bar, our favorite spot for balmy summer evenings with views of the sunset over the Elbe, the old town, and the castle. Several hiking trails through vineyards with stunning viewpoints overlooking the Elbe Valley are easily accessible on foot. Other castles and fortresses (such as Moritzburg Castle, the "Cinderella" castle), just 10 km away, are easily reachable by bike, car, or public transport. The S1 suburban train runs every 15 minutes during peak hours directly to the center of Dresden and from there to the Saxon Switzerland National Park with its famous rock formations, the Bastei, and Königstein Fortress.
